Leasing in Moldova

Experience in the field of both developed countries and those in development demonstrate that small and medium enterprises apply to leasing in funding long and medium term investment projects. The range of delivered equipment through leasing transactions is various, fact that ensures to each beneficiary and individual approach and possibility to choose concrete leasing products depending on the technological needs and financial possibilities. In Central an East European countries leasing became an unique opportunity for SMEs to renovate equipment and transportation means, because it is convenient and has obvious advantages in comparison with other investment ways, including bank credit. In the last years leasing in these countries ensured up to a quarter of total investments in fixed assets. Moldova is not an exception from this rule, although the current situation of the leasing market does not correspond to its potential.
