Inauguration of the first on-line one-stop-shop ever in Moldova !
On April 19, 2005, the first on line one-stop-shop “Unic Plus On-line” has been officially inaugurated in Cahul under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Cahul, one of the leading USAID BIZPRO/Moldova partners. The Cahul city has been recently displaying good prospects of becoming a Business Capital of the south of Moldova. The One-stop-shop online, as a very unique and useful facility for trade licensing assisted by USAID/BIZPRO, sets the stage for new lucrative business to come out from the shadow thus contributing to a real economic growth of the community. It has turned the once cumbersome and often misleading procedures into fast, cheap and predictable business registration and licensing process. Driven by the public/private partnership that underpins an ambitious regulatory reform agenda, this local initiative in itself helps advance it by improving the regulatory and investment environment at the community level and enlarging the doorway for potential investors. In pursuit of establishing a sound regulatory and business friendly environment, this brilliant example of local best practice implemented in Cahul breeds the grounds for change and creates a challenge for the rest of the communities to join in and follow the lead of Cahul.
